Strawberry World

Music is not just produced in a plush studio with an array of marketing types to push it out via adverts and ring tones as most of us are used to. It is created all over the world, in dusty basements, to blazing hot desserts where tribes jam out with hand made instruments carved out of their surroundings.

New to the fair this year, The Strawberry World Stage is endeavoring to encompass as many varieties of music from around the world as it can pack into one day. Aiming to broaden the musical horizons of the fair and the people by bringing a great mix of bands, artists and DJs that are all very different from one another and will each reflect a genre of world music. The mix of genres throughout the day will include Ska, Samba, Soca, Rock-Steady, Afro-Cuban, Raga, Afrobeat, Marrabenta, Celtic, Cumbia, Salsa, Dub, Reggae, Roots, Mbalax and many other various types of world music.
