Strawberry Fair: Cleaner & Greener

Strawberry Fair aims to be envrionmentally friendly at all times. Huge efforts are made to recycle the refuse generated by visitors to the event itself, we encourage stall holders to make applications to trade online rather than using paper forms, and we use bio diesel wherever possible.

In 2007 100 glass and 50 can recycling points were provided and 10-15% of litter was recycled. We also provided 250 litter bins and 8 skips to ensure that litter ended up in the right place.

Our Environment team works tirelessly each year to ensure Strawberry Fair leaves Midsummer Common exactly as we find it. Taking this a step further, we are also encouraging members of the public to help as part of the 'It's your Fair, play fair' campaign.
