Check out some of the festival attraction that graced last years Arts Area below:

  • The Strawberry Fair Film Festival. For the fifth year, we held an international local short film festival in a Big Top Tent, showcasing the talents of new local and not-so-local filmmakers. Doors opened at 6.30pm, screening began at 7pm and the Big Top Tent was filled to capacity.

  • The Saturday film tent, screened a program of short films, including the best of the Cambridge Super 8 Film Festival 2007.

  • The Starving Artists' Art Gallery, showcased the talents of rising new Cambridge artists. Visit the website for more details http://www.starvingartist.org.uk.

  • Freetail Free For All, a maze-based interactive art installation by members of the Castle Project.

  • Kinetic Sonic Cycle Sculpture, which found new uses for traditional Cambridge transport.

  • Society of Xtras, for the second year running this offered the chance for everyone to be the star of the show. Get dressed up and vogue with a vengeance.

  • The Largest Canvas in Cambridge organized by Cambridge School of Art at Anglia Ruskin University. This was mainly for our younger audience participating in the creation of Cambridge's largest picture.

  • 209 Shorts, a sonic landscape of sounds, all 2 minutes and 9 seconds long, originally created for local community radio station 209 Radio.

  • And finally, the programme stall to end all programme stalls, a frenzy 1940s music, performance art, and, of course, programmes.
